Merry Christmas!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas, I know it is a bit late, but I have had major Internet problems and have not been able to update anything. This is probably the worst time of year for this as everybody is on holidays, but my great Nephew came to the party today and was able to fix it for me! We had a great day and I thought I would share our Christmas photos this year. We normally just have a photo taken of the girls alone, but this year I thought it would be something nice. This is when we took the girls into the City to see Santa at Myer.

It has been a very busy month in our house so I am looking forward to having a break in January. Carly had her last day of Prep, along with concerts and Maddy her Kinder break up party and her induction for 4 year Old Kinder. Bruno tore the triceps muscle in his arm and had to have an operation to stitch it back together. And on top of all this and Christmas, we also had my Sisters wedding!

I was so Proud!

Yesterday the girls had their Dance Concert, 2 in 1 day, the first at Midday and the other at 7pm. It was a really long day. But they where so good an made me so proud. Maddy was Dora, it was so hard to tell which was her up on the stage, but when she started dancing I could tell, she has this special wiggle about her. Carly had 2 dances a Jazz and a Tap and she was so good. I could not believe how well they remembered their routine. Maddy was unbelievable, because of her age she did not have to go on for the encore at the Midday performance, but believe me there was no way of holding her back. then at the evening performance she fell asleep about 30 minutes before the end. I had to wake her up to go back on for the finale because I knew that if she missed it she would be really disappointed! She was up and dancing straight away, there was no way she was going to miss out!

I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone! And where did it go?

Carly will no longer be a Preppie soon. Maddy has her orientation at kinder tomorrow. She is so excited, I am feeling it. But I always say to myself , I am so lucky to have 2 healthy, happy little girls and to so lucky to be able to see them grow up!

On Another note we have been really busy getting ready for the big dance concert this Sunday. They are doing 2 concerts on the day. The last concert finishes at 11pm, so I don't think we will go to school on Monday, I and I think Carly's teacher will thank me for that! They are so excited Maddy keeps practicing, she is Dora and her dance is so cute. Cary is doing 2 dances a Jazz and a Tap. I can't wait either as soon as I get some photo's I will post them.

I cannot believe how quickly Christmas is creeping up on us! 9 weeks to go. I ma really not looking forward to the busy shops, I must (in my non-existant spare time) start shopping....
But I do love Christmas, the girls get so excited!
Today we had Michael our Nephews Communion and gee was there a lot of food, we did not have any dinner tonight because we ate to much. It started with Pizza, then different types of pasta and then the main and then cake!! We nearly rolled out of the Restaurant! Plus it was really hot here today 30 degrees, that is hot for Melbourne in October.

My Baby is 6!

I cannot believe how quickly the past 6 years have gone! It seems like only yesterday she was born, crying all night and I could not get any sleep. Now she is all grown up. Carly is now 6 years old and growing up to be such a young lady. She had her birthday party at a mini golf centre, which she loves. The children had a ball and it was such an easy party, just had to show up on the day and then leave, nothing much to organise, very relaxing. She chose out a Ladybird cake, because she just loves bugs, but when it came to the time of the cake none of the kids wanted to eat it! Oh well lots of cake for Bruno!

Nurse Maddy

I just have to share these pictures of Maddy. My dad is in hospital at the moment he has just had a hip replacement and is doing really well, so my mum is staying with us. Last night we decided to take Carly and Maddy in to visit their Pop and so he is Maddy's idol, so she dressed as a nurse and took her case in to hep get him better. She was so cute and gave my Dad a big smile, plus gave the nurses a good laugh. She was so proud!

I am Officially now 22!

Well kind of. Yesterday was my birthday, but a while ago I told Carly and Maddy that I was 21. Well, they seem to have remembered this, so yesterday when it was my birthday, they presumed I was turning 22. I am not going to complain, if they think I am this young then I will let them believe it for a while! I know I will have to come let them know, otherwise they might just figure it out.

They where so excited! every day last week Maddy would come in to my bed in the morning and say 5 more sleeps until your birthday, she had a countdown going. So yesterday at 6.30am they both came in with their presents, it was just priceless. I then went to work and when I came home, thay had decorated the house in a princess theme and they had even got my mum to buy 2 candles to say 22! So here are some pics of my cake and doesn't Bruno look great in a princess hat! As usual it was getting a bit late for Maddy so she was over the photo's!

Circus is in Town

I just have to share how nice of a day I had with the girls today. Bruno has been doing Night Shift and so today I was really over keeping the girls quiet. So I decided to take them to the Circus that is showing at our local shops. We had so much fun, it was fantastic! the performers where absolutely amazing. I really felt like a child again, I was on the edge of my seat. So here are a couple of my favourite photo's of today to share.

Our House turned into a Fairy Haven!

Maddy's Fairy party was a great success! She even looked the part! It was all so worth while she did not stop smiling all day! Her actual birthday is tomorrow and she will be 4, but she had her fairy Birthday party yesterday. It was great, we had a Fairy Flutterby come and do games and face painting. All the kids dressed up and it was just lovely. Carly and Maddy were so excited getting ready, my friend curled their hair and I did the glitter make-up and yes, my nephew mark as you can see in the picture also wanted some. So here are some pics from the day.

Fairy Party Time!

I hope everyone had a great Long weekend. We went to Eildon and it was very cold, But the girls had a ball!
Maddy, my baby is 4 next week! I cannot believe how quick it has gone. I have been busy trying to organise her party. Because she really believes she is a fairy, she is having a fairy party. I have arranged for a fairy to come, she will be so excited. She has a new dress that just makes her look like a fairy princess. I will post a picture later of her in it, because I am too scared to put it on her now because she won't take it off!
Tonight I thought I would start cooking and make little cakes and put them in the freezer and then all I would have to do was ice them. The problem was that I am not a good cook and the recipe said 5 eggs, but when I cracked it open it was a double yoker, so this set it off for me, do I count this as 1 egg or 2 or 1 1/2, but the second egg was also a double yoker, so I have guessed and counted these 2 eggs as 3! Will let you know how they turn out. Now I need to find other food. I now remember why I normally have the parties at Play Centres. At least she is excited!

Picture 2 Page

Picture 2 Page was great. I really have to thank my sister Lindy and her partner Craig who came down from Wodonga to help me, they where fantastic and I really appreciated all there help. My sisters partner is great, with a beautiful personality and just a laugh. When the stall got quieter he said he was going to go for a sleep. I thought he meant in the car. No! he rolled a jumper up and lay under one of the tables and slept. So for those who missed this I have added a picture. I thought this was great, I wish I had the ability to be able to just sleep, I find I can never switch off!

I would also like to thank all of you who came over and said hello.

A Very Busy week

Well, where do I start?. We have had a very busy week, with the sale, packing kits and getting ready for Picture 2 Page. I don't think I have been to bed before 2am this week. I must say Bruno has been fantastic, looking after the girls and getting Carly off to school.

I also have some exciting news. ... I am very happy to announce that Sarah Mulder is joining our design team. Sarah has an amazing style and is extremely creative and has many years experience in the Scrapbooking industry ( no, she is not old! she is very young). I will update more on Sarah in the next Newsletter, but you can see some of her great work in next months gallery.

I have been tagges!

Pip has tagged me and I need to share 7 random facts about myself and I need to choose 7 people to tell 7 facts about themselves. So here I go.
1. I grew up on a farm in Hay NSW and then when I was a Teenager my family moved to Melbourne and my Dad brought a pub.
2. I am the youngest of 4 I have 2 elder sisters and a Big Brother.
3. I can be a clean freak, when the girls where toilet training I used to take disinfectant wipes around with me to make sure the toilet was disinfected.
4. I am totally freaked out by Huntsmen spiders, I cannot stand them!
5. I cannot sit around and do nothing, I always have to find something to do.
6.I follow little rituals daily that need to be done, other wise I freak out, ie; every Tuesday I change the sheets, which means that everybody has to go to bed that night with clean sheets and pj's.
7. I really need my sleep, otherwise I am like a little girl and God help anyone who gets in my way.
Ok, that is it for me. I am going to tag Bek, Sarah, Rach, Will, Tess, Well these are the only other Bloggers that I know which have not been tagged yet.

Anzac Day

Yesterday was such a great day. Bruno is in the Army Reserve so every year he marches down St kilda Road and The Girls, Nonna and I go in to watch him.

So up early we were to get to the city. The girls love it, they stand on the side waving flags. Maddy always seems to attract the attention of a lot of old veterans, they stop to give her a big wave and throw lollies out to the girls. Besides going to see Daddy march, they love watching everyone. It also makes you appreciate everything some people gave up, just so we can have a future.

So I have to share this picture of us together after the march.

As we where walking back from the Shrine, the Airforce jets flew over and gave Maddy such a fright she yelled, "You silly buggers". What a reaction!

April Kit

All kits have now been sent out. I have been busy getting May's kit together for the design team and ordering for June.
I am off on Friday for Freestyle Downunder, I can't wait. I know it will be a very hectic couple of days but I love it!

Priceless!

This week we decided to change Maddy's 3 year old Kinder day from a Friday to a Wednesday. Anyway on the Friday that she went she had made friends with a little girl called Mia who has blonde curly hair. On the Wednesday day there the day their is another little girl called Mia who also has blonde hair. When she came home I asked here how kinder was and who she played with she said Mia mummy, but she looked different, her mummy had made her hair longer and straightened her hair! How cute and priceless she did not realise it was a different little girl because of the name. I just had to share this, it shows how innocent a child can be.

We finally caught 3!

We came back from Eildon yesterday, cannot believe how quick the holidays went. Carly has now started term 2 of her 1st year of school.
I have spent the last 3 days catching tadpoles with the girls. Anyone who saw us would have thought we where absolutely crazy! Here I was in a muddy pond with my jeans rolled up, feet emersed in water, scooping buckets of water up and then checking for tadpoles. Other kids in the park also joined us and I was a star, with them all asking, "Michelle can you get some for me". Anyway I would have thought that it was enough fishing for us. But they did not forget about the good old Trout Farm(which I have desperately tried to forget about after the spider incident). Oh no! they definetely did not forget, so on the way home we stopped at the Trout Farm in Buxton. But it was great, there was no spiders and we could fish, even the girls can now get the bait on the rods. Unfortunately the fish kept getting the bait of our rods so we did not get any. Then I had a great idea that if we threw some food in the water they would all come over and I could scoop them up in the net. Bingo! it worked, the first time I got 1 fish and then the second time, 2 fish. So off we set home with fish for Daddy! and tadpoles for Show and Tell.
Besides that we have been busy packing kits today.

I actually survived Easter and managed not to have too much Chocolate ( I have not got on the scales yet).
The girls and I have spent sometime up at Eildon and I must say they are having an absolute ball. The park has only permanent people here so everyone knows each other, and all the kids play together so much. They had the biggest Easter hunt. I will upload some pics as soon as I can, I am not sure if I have the connection here to upload to my Laptop.
Tomorrow I am taking them for a train ride, so they are very excited. Will fill you in more later.

I hope everyone is having a safe and well Easter. It has certainly been very buy for us.
I took the girls down to see my parents at the start of the week, I was originally going to wait until Easter itself, but my 2 nieces where going to be there, and seeing as the cousins really don't get to see each other very much, we changed our plans and went earlier.
Then on Thursday we headed of back home, left at 10am, got back to Melbourne, unpacked and then repacked, did the groceries ( not a good idea with 2 little tired girls that had already traveled for 5 hours) came back home packed everything in the car, then left for Eildon. Which we arrived at 10pm! what a day, but considering it took us a whole 12 hours with traveling, packing etc; the girls where very good. So will stay up here for a couple of days.
However I will not be surprised if Maddy my overly confident 3 year old hurts herself.... Yesterday I was sitting down having a cup of coffee and heard "Hello Mummy" I look up and she is on the tractor with the owner of the park. Then later again I look up and here she is standing up on the back of her cousins bike.. then later I am walking past a tree, look up and here she is sitting up there. Atleast she is having fun!

I would also like to welcome Angie Naumowicz from Newcastle who will be a Gust Designer for the next few months. Angie has done some amazing layouts with this months kit.

One of my Biggest Fears!

As the girls have gotten older and gone of to School and Kinder I have constantly worried about head lice. I have been so paranoid always tying their hair up and spraying it with Tea Tree oil before they leave. I even request at school and kinder that they NEVER share a hat. But today, the day Maddy goes to creche and the day I have planned to try t o catch up on work my night mare unfolds. After dropping the girls off I quickly went to the Supermarket, I had planned every minute of the day, exactly what I needed to get done. My phone rings and it is creche, Maddy has Head Lice. I felt sick, I had no idea what to do, so off to the Chemist to get everything, and then I went to pick her up. I was horrified! I had no idea. So I spent the whole day treating her hair. She has really thick long hair, it took me 3 hours to comb it. I don't know how many loads of washing I have done. I have even treated my own hair because she has slept with me the last 2 nights. My friend George dropped Carly home after school so I also treated her hair, but found nothing when I combed it through. I just hope she doesn't get it.
So that has been my day and a real welcome to reality of school years for me! I hope tomorrow is a better day for me.

I have been busy ordering next month's kit and all have been sent out to our Design Team and I must say it is a very nice kit. I am sure you will be very impressed. Sneak peaks will start this week, so keep checking back.
I have had one of those weekends, where you sit there on the Sunday night and wonder where the weekend went. It was just a busy one. We went to Nonna's for dinner on Friday night for her birthday. Her actual birthday was on Tuesday but Bruno forgot to ring her for it! Can you believe he forgot his mother's birthday. But he won't be the first and he won't be the last to do it. Well to be honest I am still waiting for my Christmas present. But I felt so bad for her, so straight after school on Friday the girls and I made her a cake. Well kind of, thanks to Coles who sell the unmade sponges, Green's who make really nice decorations for a cake and Betty Crocker who sells pre-made icing. All we did was whip some cream and decorate it, very impressed!
Today we went on a family picnic with Bruno's family to Ferntree Gully National Park, except Bruno did not go because he had to work. After lunch everybody decided that they would do the 1000 steps even the kids. But I have the youngest kids, 3 and 5 year olds and knew they couldn't do it, so I was supposed to stay behind with Nonna whilst they all went. Then Carly decided that she wanted to go and watch, so of course Maddy did too! So of we set, and then Maddy started that her legs where tired so I say ok lets go back, but Carly says no I want to keep going. But I could not just leave Carly and gee she is stubborn, so I had to carry Maddy up the hill and this took about 20 minutes before Carly realised that she was getting tired, then I explained that she would have to walk back. I don't think she had realised this! So back down we went with Carly whinging, so every so often I would swap and put Maddy down and then carry Carly. I was so tired by the time we got back. But I definitely think I have done my exercise for the week. My legs are so tired now!

March Kits Have now been sent out

I had a really busy weekend packing all the kits, but very happy to say they have all been done and are now sent out, so you can now start to stalk your postie.
Today I have been packing more kits for my donation to Crop for Kids, with donations for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday appeal. Here is a link for further info http://www.cropforkids.blogspot.com/ The girls running this are doing a truly amazing effort and credit goes to them all. The day will be a huge success! I am fortunate enough not to have needed the Royal Children's hospital, and I hope I never have to, but I really think every bit helps. Wish I could go myself but unfortunately not having family in Melbourne means I need to travel for Easter.
All my family head to my parents, at Raymond Island on the Gippsland Lakes and we have an absolute blast!

Long Weekend has passed!

We have just had a long weekend here in Victoria, it was made extra long because Carly had no school on Friday so we wen toff to Eildon to have some nice family time.
But I could not believe it, I woke up 5am Saturday so sick, like I had the worst hangover, but I knew I had only had 2 glasses of wine the night before. So all day I spent in bed, tried to go out for dinner on Saturday night but had to go home after an hour and this continued all day Sunday and Monday. So what a waste when I really wanted to do somethings nice with the girls and Bruno. I felt so bad, but it did get me out of going fishing again!
Anyway today I have felt a bit better. Maddy has gone on another Holiday to my parents for a few days, she could not wait to get there quick enough! So it is really me and Carly all week, Bruno is working some bad shifts. Carly loves the one on one attention. Today after school we went to the shops and had an ice cream she kept asking me if she could have a double one. I kept saying Ok if you think you can have 2 scoops. But when we placed our order she says, No the one that has the 2 cones together, she wanted a real double one. so being nice I said okay, thinking I am going to score some really left over Ice cream here! But to my amazement she ate it all, and told me see now I can have one all the time! When we got home she asked me to ring her Poppy to tell him she could eat Ice creams like he can! How cute she really is growing up!
